New Year’s Resolution: Wear the Change!

31 Jan 2019 (Thu)
HSBC Deutschland, Königsallee 21/23, 40212 Düsseldorf
After a successful launch in 2018, Fashion Revolution Düsseldorf welcomes the New Year with new inspiration! Make some fashionable New Year’s Resolutions, because we can all wear the change. Come and join us for an evening of insights, discussion and style and be part of the biggest global movement campaigning for a fairer and safer fashion industry.
We will kick-off introducing the Fashion Revolution movement and present the results of their first European survey on consumer attitudes towards sustainability. Then, we will take a look at real-life examples of companies driving the positive change in fashion.
A Frankfurt based brand, Coco-Lores, will share their story and show that business fashion can be stylish, sustainable and fair. Hessnatur will present its responsible business model and what to look for in sustainable fashion. C&A Foundation will demonstrate the innovative power of the global fashion industry and their approach to sustainability.

The program will wrap-up with a panel discussion on how we as consumers can make better informed purchasing choices and what solutions the fashion industry has to offer.

After the panel we will invite you to enjoy some drinks and snacks with us and continue the dialogue.

During the networking part, you can also take a glimpse at the innovative power of the next generation with Düsselcyle, a recycling project of Max Planck Gymnasium Düsseldorf.
We thank our supporters and sponsors WHU Entrepreneurship Center, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and ManuFactum brot&butter for their good spirit!

Fashion Revolution is a global movement that runs all year, celebrating fashion as a positive influence, raising awareness of the fashion industry’s most pressing issues, showing that change is possible and celebrating those who are on a journey to create a more ethical and sustainable future for fashion. This year’s campaign marks the 5th year anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which shook the fashion world and ignited the world’s biggest fashion activism movement for a fairer, safer, fashion industry.

WHU Entrepreneurship Center is a platform for startups, venture capital investors and established corporations alike to network, learn and collaborate, thereby jointly shaping the future development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Germany and beyond.
